Genesis 23:13 And he spake unto Ephron in the audience of the people ofthe land, saying, But if thou wilt give it, I pray thee, hear me: I willgive thee money for the field; take it of me, and I will bury my dead there. 14 And Ephron answered Abraham, saying unto him, 15 My lord, hearken unto me: the land is worth four hundred shekels of silver;what is that betwixt me and thee? bury therefore thy dead. 16 And Abraham hearkened unto Ephron; and Abraham weighed to Ephron thesilver, which he had named in the audience of the sons of Heth, four hundredshekels of silver, current money with the merchant. 17 And the field of Ephron which was in Machpelah, which was before Mamre, the field, and the cave which was therein, and all the trees that were inthe field, that were in all the borders round about, were made sure 18 Unto Abraham for a possession in the presence of the children of Heth, before all that went in at the gate of his city. 19 And after this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the fieldof Machpelah before Mamre: the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan.

Deuteronomy 9:4 Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy Godhath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the LORDhath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of thesenations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee. 5 Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dostthou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations theLORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may performthe word which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Deuteronomy 34:1 And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountainof Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And the LORDshewed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan, 2 And all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the landof Judah, unto the utmost sea, 3 And the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palmtrees, unto Zoar. 4 And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I havecaused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.
1 Chronicles 16:15 Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word whichhe commanded to a thousand generations; 16 Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath untoIsaac; 17 And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for aneverlasting covenant, 18 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance; 19 When ye were but few, even a few, and strangers in it. 20 And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to anotherpeople; 21 He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for theirsakes, 22 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

Psalms 105:4 Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore. 5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and thejudgments of his mouth; 6 O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen. 7 He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth. 8 He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commandedto a thousand generations. 9 Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac; 10 And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlastingcovenant: 11 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance: 12 When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangersin it. 13 When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to anotherpeople; 14 He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for theirsakes; 15 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
Psalms 105:42 For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.

Matthew 22:32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the Godof Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
Luke 1:49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy ishis name. 50 And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation. 51 He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud inthe imagination of their hearts. 52 He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of lowdegree. 53 He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sentempty away. 54 He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy; 55 As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever.
Luke 1:68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemedhis people, 69 And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servantDavid; 70 As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been sincethe world began: 71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all thathate us; 72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holycovenant; 73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham, 74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the handof our enemies might serve him without fear, 75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.
Luke 13:28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall seeAbraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God,and you yourselves thrust out. 29 And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God. 30 And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are firstwhich shall be last.
Luke 20:35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: 36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; andare the children of God, being the children of the resurrection. 37 Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when hecalleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God ofJacob. 38 For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live untohim. 39 Then certain of the scribes answering said, Master, thou hast well said.
John 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, andwas glad.
Acts 3:22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lordyour God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall yehear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. 23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear thatprophet, shall be destroyed from among the people. 24 Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, asmany as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days. 25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God madewith our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindredsof the earth be blessed.
Acts 7:1 Then said the high priest, Are these things so? 2 And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appearedunto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt inCharran, 3 And said unto him, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew thee. 4 Then came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Charran:and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell. 5 And he gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set hisfoot on: yet he promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.
Acts 26:4 My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first amongmine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews; 5 Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after themost straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee. 6 And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God,unto our fathers: 7 Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews. 8 Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God shouldraise the dead?
Romans 4:1 What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertainingto the flesh, hath found? 2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; butnot before God. 3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was countedunto him for righteousness. 4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth theungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. 6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom Godimputeth righteousness without works, 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sinsare covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. 9 Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcisionalso? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness. 10 How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision. 11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousnessof the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be thefather of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousnessmight be imputed unto them also: 12 And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcisiononly, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised. 13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not toAbraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousnessof faith. 14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and thepromise made of none effect: 15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression. 16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promisemight be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, butto that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, 17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) beforehim whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth thosethings which be not as though they were. 18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father ofmany nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. 19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah'swomb: 20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strongin faith, giving glory to God; 21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able alsoto perform. 22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. 23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; 24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him thatraised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; 25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
Romans 15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcisionfor the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:
Galatians 3:6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to himfor righteousness. 7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the childrenof Abraham. 8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen throughfaith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall allnations be blessed. 9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
Galatians 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, beingmade a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangethon a tree: 14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through JesusChrist; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Galatians 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saithnot, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which isChrist. 17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God inChrist, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. 18 For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but Godgave it to Abraham by promise. 19 Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordainedby angels in the hand of a mediator.
Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ haveput on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, thereis neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs accordingto the promise.
Ephesians 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens fromthe commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh bythe blood of Christ.
Ephesians 3:6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
Colossians 3:23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, andnot unto men; 24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance:for ye serve the Lord Christ.
Hebrews 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour oflove, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered tothe saints, and do minister. 11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to thefull assurance of hope unto the end: 12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith andpatience inherit the promises. 13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater,he sware by himself, 14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiplythee. 15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. 16 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation isto them an end of all strife. 17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promisethe immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: 18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie,we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay holdupon the hope set before us: 19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast,and which entereth into that within the veil;
Hebrews 7:1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most highGod, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessedhim; 2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretationKing of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, Kingof peace; 3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginningof days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priestcontinually. 4 Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abrahamgave the tenth of the spoils. 5 And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office ofthe priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people accordingto the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loinsof Abraham: 6 But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises. 7 And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better. 8 And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, ofwhom it is witnessed that he liveth. 9 And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes inAbraham. 10 For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.
Hebrews 9:11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come,by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is tosay, not of this building; 12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he enteredin once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. 13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinklingthe unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: 14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spiritoffered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead worksto serve the living God? 15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by meansof death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the firsttestament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he thatcometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of themthat diligently seek him. 7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved withfear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemnedthe world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. 8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he shouldafter receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whitherhe went. 9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of thesame promise: 10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and makeris God. 11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, andwas delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithfulwho had promised. 12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so manyas the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the seashore innumerable. 13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but havingseen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessedthat they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. 15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence theycame out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. 16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: whereforeGod is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for thema city. 17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that hadreceived the promises offered up his only begotten son, 18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: 19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; fromwhence also he received him in a figure.
James 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaachis son upon the altar? 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith madeperfect? 23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, andit was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friendof God. 24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
