Exodous 22:29 Thou shalt not delay to offer the first of thy ripe fruits,and of thy liquors: the firstborn of thy sons shalt thou give unto me.

Deuteronomy 15:7 If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethrenwithin any of thy gates in thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee,thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother:
8 But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend himsufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth.
9 Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventhyear, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thypoor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the LORD againstthee, and it be sin unto thee.
10 Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved whenthou givest unto him: because that for this thing the LORD thy God shallbless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.
11 For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee,saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, andto thy needy, in thy land.

Luke 21:1 And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts intothe treasury.
2 And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.
3 And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath castin more than they all:
4 For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God:but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.

Acts 10:1 There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurionof the band called the Italian band,
2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave muchalms to the people, and prayed to God alway.
3 He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angelof God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.
4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord?And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorialbefore God.
5 And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter:
6 He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: heshall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.

Acts 10:29 Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I wassent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?
30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; andat the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood beforeme in bright clothing,
31 And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrancein the sight of God.
32 Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter;he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea side: who, whenhe cometh, shall speak unto thee.
33 Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thouart come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear allthings that are commanded thee of God.

1 Corinthians 16:1 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I havegiven order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.
2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store,as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
3 And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them willI send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem.

2 Corinthians 8:1 Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of Godbestowed on the churches of Macedonia;
2 How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy andtheir deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.
3 For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they werewilling of themselves;
4 Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and takeupon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.
5 And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves tothe Lord, and unto us by the will of God.
6 Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would alsofinish in you the same grace also.
7 Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge,and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in thisgrace also.
8 I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others,and to prove the sincerity of your love.
9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich,yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might berich.
10 And herein I give my advice: for this is expedient for you, who havebegun before, not only to do, but also to be forward a year ago.
11 Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readinessto will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have.
12 For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to thata man hath, and not according to that he hath not.
13 For I mean not that other men be eased, and ye burdened:
14 But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supplyfor their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want:that there may be equality:
15 As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and hethat had gathered little had no lack.

2 Corinthians 9:1 For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluousfor me to write to you:
2 For I know the forwardness of your mind, for which I boast of you to themof Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal hath provokedvery many.
3 Yet have I sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vainin this behalf; that, as I said, ye may be ready:
4 Lest haply if they of Macedonia come with me, and find you unprepared,we (that we say not, ye) should be ashamed in this same confident boasting.
5 Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they wouldgo before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty, whereof ye had noticebefore, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not asof covetousness.
6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; andhe which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; notgrudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always havingall sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor:his righteousness remaineth for ever.
10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for yourfood, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth throughus thanksgiving to God.
12 For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want ofthe saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;
13 Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for yourprofessed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distributionunto them, and unto all men;
14 And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding graceof God in you.
15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.

Philippians 4:15 Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning ofthe gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated withme as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
16 For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.
17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to youraccount.
18 But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditusthe things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrificeacceptable, wellpleasing to God.
19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in gloryby Christ Jesus.
