1 Kings 19:19 So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat,who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth:and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him.
20 And he left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, Let me, I praythee, kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow thee. And hesaid unto him, Go back again: for what have I done to thee?
21 And he returned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen, and slew them,and boiled their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gave unto thepeople, and they did eat. Then he arose, and went after Elijah, and ministeredunto him.

1 Chronicles 16:10 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoicethat seek the LORD.
11 Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.
12 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and thejudgments of his mouth;

2 Chronicles 12:13 So king Rehoboam strengthened himself in Jerusalem, andreigned: for Rehoboam was one and forty years old when he began to reign,and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the LORD hadchosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. And his mother'sname was Naamah an Ammonitess.
14 And he did evil, because he prepared not his heart to seek the LORD.

2 Chronicles 25:2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD,but not with a perfect heart.

Proverbs 15:13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrowof the heart the spirit is broken.

Proverbs 16:2 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORDweigheth the spirits.

Proverbs 20:9 Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from mysin?

Isaiah 65:4 Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, whicheat swine's flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;
5 Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier thanthou. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day.

Matthew 6:22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye besingle, thy whole body shall be full of light.
23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. Iftherefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and lovethe other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannotserve God and mammon.
25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shalleat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on.Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap,nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye notmuch better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field,how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayedlike one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is,and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you,O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shallwe drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenlyFather knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and allthese things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thoughtfor the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Luke 5:4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out intothe deep, and let down your nets for a draught.
5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night,and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes:and their net brake.
7 And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, thatthey should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships,so that they began to sink.
8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Departfrom me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.
9 For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of thefishes which they had taken:
10 And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partnerswith Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shaltcatch men.
11 And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, andfollowed him.

Luke 9:61 And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me firstgo bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.
62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, andlooking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

Luke 10:3 Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.

Luke 11:33 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secretplace, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which comein may see the light.
34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single,thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy bodyalso is full of darkness.
35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.
36 If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, thewhole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle dothgive thee light.

Luke 12:33 Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags whichwax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thiefapproacheth, neither moth corrupteth.
34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Luke 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, andwife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also,he cannot be my disciple.
27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be mydisciple.

Luke 18:15 And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them:but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
16 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to comeunto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of Godas a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

John 12:42 Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him;but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they shouldbe put out of the synagogue:
43 For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

Acts 8:18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' handsthe Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,
19 Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he mayreceive the Holy Ghost.
20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hastthought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not rightin the sight of God.
22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps thethought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
23 For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bondof iniquity.
24 Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that noneof these things which ye have spoken come upon me.

Acts 17:10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by nightunto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they receivedthe word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily,whether those things were so.
12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which wereGreeks, and of men, not a few.

Acts 21:10 And as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judaeaa certain prophet, named Agabus.
11 And when he was come unto us, he took Paul's girdle, and bound his ownhands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews atJerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him intothe hands of the Gentiles.
12 And when we heard these things, both we, and they of that place, besoughthim not to go up to Jerusalem.
13 Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? forI am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the nameof the Lord Jesus.
14 And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of theLord be done.

Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge,God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are notconvenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness,maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors ofevil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable,unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things areworthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that dothem.

Romans 11:15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world,what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the rootbe holy, so are the branches.
17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olivetree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root andfatness of the olive tree;
18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not theroot, but the root thee.
19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffedin.
20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest byfaith. Be not highminded, but fear:
21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also sparenot thee.
22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell,severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwisethou also shalt be cut off.
23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffedin: for God is able to graff them in again.
24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, andwert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shallthese, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?

Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man thatis among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think;but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measureof faith.
4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not thesame office:
5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one ofanother.
6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us,whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it withsimplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, withcheerfulness.
9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave tothat which is good.
10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferringone another;
11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescendto men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sightof all men.
18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath:for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink:for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Romans 15:1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of theweak, and not to please ourselves.

1 Corinthians 2:1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellencyof speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, andhim crucified.
3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of theHoly Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, andin your spirit, which are God's.

1 Corinthians 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels,and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries,and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains,and have not charity, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give mybody to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vauntethnot itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked,thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endurethall things.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail;whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge,it shall vanish away.
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shallbe done away.
11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thoughtas a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now Iknow in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest ofthese is charity.

2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day ofsalvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold,now is the day of salvation.)
3 Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:
4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in muchpatience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,
5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, infastings;
6 By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the HolyGhost, by love unfeigned,
7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousnesson the right hand and on the left,
8 By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers,and yet true;
9 As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened,and not killed;
10 As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; ashaving nothing, and yet possessing all things.

2 Corinthians 8:1 Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of Godbestowed on the churches of Macedonia;
2 How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy andtheir deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.
3 For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they werewilling of themselves;
4 Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and takeupon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.
5 And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves tothe Lord, and unto us by the will of God.
6 Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would alsofinish in you the same grace also.
7 Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge,and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in thisgrace also.

2 Corinthians 9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap alsosparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; notgrudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

Galatians 4:17 They zealously affect you, but not well; yea, they wouldexclude you, that ye might affect them.
18 But it is good to be zealously affected always in a good thing, and notonly when I am present with you.

Ephesians 4:17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforthwalk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of Godthrough the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of theirheart:
19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness,to work all uncleanness with greediness.
20 But ye have not so learned Christ;
21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as thetruth is in Jesus:
22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, whichis corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousnessand true holiness.

Ephesians 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filledwith the Spirit;

Philippians 2:1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if anycomfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being ofone accord, of one mind.

Philippians 2:19 But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortlyunto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.
20 For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state.
21 For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.
22 But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hathserved with me in the gospel.

Philippians 4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is athand.

Colossians 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things whichare above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appearwith him in glory.

Colossians 3:8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice,blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

Colossians 3:12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved,bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have aquarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

1 Timothy 6:8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

Revelation 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore,and repent.
