Matthew 3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voiceof one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make hispaths straight.
4 And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdleabout his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.
5 Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region roundabout Jordan,
6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.

Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he thatcometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear:he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

Matthew 3:13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptizedof him.
14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, andcomest thou to me?
15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus itbecometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water:and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of Goddescending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom Iam well pleased.

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is givenunto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name ofthe Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Mark 1:4 John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentancefor the remission of sins.
5 And there went out unto him all the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem,and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.

Mark 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize youwith the Holy Ghost.

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach thegospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believethnot shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall theycast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shallnot hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Luke 3:3 And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptismof repentance for the remission of sins;

Luke 3:16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you withwater; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am notworthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:

Luke 7:28 For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there isnot a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in thekingdom of God is greater than he.
29 And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God,being baptized with the baptism of John.
30 But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves,being not baptized of him.

Luke 12:49 I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it bealready kindled?
50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened tillit be accomplished!
51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; butrather division:
52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three againsttwo, and two against three.
53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against thefather; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother;the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law againsther mother in law.

Luke 20:1 And it came to pass, that on one of those days, as he taught thepeople in the temple, and preached the gospel, the chief priests and thescribes came upon him with the elders,
2 And spake unto him, saying, Tell us, by what authority doest thou thesethings? or who is he that gave thee this authority?
3 And he answered and said unto them, I will also ask you one thing; andanswer me:
4 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men?
5 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven;he will say, Why then believed ye him not?
6 But and if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuadedthat John was a prophet.
7 And they answered, that they could not tell whence it was.

John 3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of theJews:
2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know thatthou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles thatthou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Excepta man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can heenter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be bornof water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of theSpirit is spirit.

John 3:22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the landof Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.
23 And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there wasmuch water there: and they came, and were baptized.
24 For John was not yet cast into prison.
25 Then there arose a question between some of John's disciples and theJews about purifying.
26 And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with theebeyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth,and all men come to him.

Acts 1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized withthe Holy Ghost not many days hence.

Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that Godhath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and saidunto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shallwe do?
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you inthe name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receivethe gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that areafar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselvesfrom this untoward generation.
41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same daythere were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Acts 8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerningthe kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, bothmen and women.
13 Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continuedwith Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.

Acts 8:36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water:and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?
37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest.And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down bothinto the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

Acts 9:18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales:and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.

Acts 10:47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized,which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

Acts 11:13 And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, whichstood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surnameis Peter;
14 Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.

17 Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, whobelieved on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?

Acts 13:24 When John had first preached before his coming the baptism ofrepentance to all the people of Israel.
25 And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? Iam not he. But, behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his feetI am not worthy to loose.

Acts 16:15 And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us,saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house,and abide there. And she constrained us.

Acts 16:25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises untoGod: and the prisoners heard them.
26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations ofthe prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone's bands were loosed.
27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing theprison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself,supposing that the prisoners had been fled.
28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for weare all here.
29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and felldown before Paul and Silas,
30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved,and thy house.
32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were inhis house.
33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes;and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.

Acts 18:7 And he departed thence, and entered into a certain man's house,named Justus, one that worshipped God, whose house joined hard to the synagogue.
8 And Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord withall his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized.

Acts 19:3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And theysaid, Unto John's baptism.
4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, sayingunto the people, that they should believe on him which should come afterhim, that is, on Christ Jesus.
5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them;and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
7 And all the men were about twelve.

Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash awaythy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that gracemay abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ werebaptized into his death?

1 Peter 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us(not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a goodconscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
