Exodous 12:21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said untothem, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and killthe passover.
22 And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that isin the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the bloodthat is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his houseuntil the morning.
23 For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeththe blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will passover the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your housesto smite you.
24 And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sonsfor ever.
25 And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the LORDwill give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service.
26 And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, Whatmean ye by this service?
27 That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD'S passover, who passedover the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians,and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.
28 And the children of Israel went away, and did as the LORD had commandedMoses and Aaron, so did they.
Leviticus 7:26 Moreover ye shall eat no manner of blood, whether it be offowl or of beast, in any of your dwellings.
27 Whatsoever soul it be that eateth any manner of blood, even that soulshall be cut off from his people.
Leviticus 17:10 And whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or ofthe strangers that sojourn among you, that eateth any manner of blood; Iwill even set my face against that soul that eateth blood, and will cuthim off from among his people.
11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to youupon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the bloodthat maketh an atonement for the soul.
12 Therefore I said unto the children of Israel, No soul of you shall eatblood, neither shall any stranger that sojourneth among you eat blood.
13 And whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel, or of the strangersthat sojourn among you, which hunteth and catcheth any beast or fowl thatmay be eaten; he shall even pour out the blood thereof, and cover it withdust.
14 For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life thereof:therefore I said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall eat the blood ofno manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoevereateth it shall be cut off.
Leviticus 19:26 Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood: neither shallye use enchantment, nor observe times.
Deuteronomy 12:15 Notwithstanding thou mayest kill and eat flesh in allthy gates, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, according to the blessingof the LORD thy God which he hath given thee: the unclean and the cleanmay eat thereof, as of the roebuck, and as of the hart.
