Matthew 18:1 At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Whois the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst ofthem,
3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become aslittle children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the sameis greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 19:30 But many that are first shall be last; and the last shallbe first.
Matthew 20:24 And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignationagainst the two brethren.
25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes ofthe Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exerciseauthority upon them.
26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you,let him be your minister;
27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:
28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister,and to give his life a ransom for many.
Matthew 23:1 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples,
2 Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; butdo not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them onmen's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of theirfingers.
5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad theirphylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,
6 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,
7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.
8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and allye are brethren.
9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, whichis in heaven.
10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
Mark 9:33 And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them,What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way?
34 But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves,who should be the greatest.
35 And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any mandesire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.
Luke 9:46 Then there arose a reasoning among them, which of them shouldbe greatest.
47 And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and sethim by him,
48 And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receivethme: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he thatis least among you all, the same shall be great.

15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men;but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among menis abomination in the sight of God.

47 Which devour widows' houses, and for a shew make long prayers: the sameshall receive greater damnation.

16 To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in anotherman's line of things made ready to our hand.
17 But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
18 For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.
2 Corinthians 11:17 That which I speak, I speak it not after the Lord, butas it were foolishly, in this confidence of boasting.
18 Seeing that many glory after the flesh, I will glory also.
19 For ye suffer fools gladly, seeing ye yourselves are wise.
20 For ye suffer, if a man bring you into bondage, if a man devour you,if a man take of you, if a man exalt himself, if a man smite you on theface.

James 2:1 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, theLord of glory, with respect of persons.
2 For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodlyapparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;
3 And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say untohim, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there,or sit here under my footstool:
4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?
5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this worldrich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them thatlove him?
6 But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw youbefore the judgment seats?
7 Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?
8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt lovethy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced ofthe law as transgressors.
10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point,he is guilty of all.
11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Nowif thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressorof the law.
12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.
13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy;and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.
James 3:1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receivethe greater condemnation.
2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the sameis a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
