Isaiah 33:17 Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall beholdthe land that is very far off. 18 Thine heart shall meditate terror. Where is the scribe? where is thereceiver? where is he that counted the towers? 19 Thou shalt not see a fierce people, a people of a deeper speech thanthou canst perceive; of a stammering tongue, that thou canst not understand. 20 Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalema quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down; not one ofthe stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cordsthereof be broken. 21 But there the glorious LORD will be unto us a place of broad rivers andstreams; wherein shall go no galley with oars, neither shall gallant shippass thereby. 22 For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is ourking; he will save us. 23 Thy tacklings are loosed; they could not well strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail: then is the prey of a great spoil divided;the lame take the prey. 24 And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell thereinshall be forgiven their iniquity.
Isaiah 35:1 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them;and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. 2 It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: theglory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God. 3 Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. 4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will comeand save you. 5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shallbe unstopped. 6 Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing:for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. 7 And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springsof water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass withreeds and rushes. 8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The wayof holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those:the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. 9 No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, itshall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there: 10 And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songsand everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Isaiah 40:10 Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his armshall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work beforehim. 11 He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs withhis arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that arewith young.
Isaiah 42:1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my souldelighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgmentto the Gentiles. 2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in thestreet. 3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench:he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. 4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in theearth: and the isles shall wait for his law. 5 Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched themout; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; hethat giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walktherein: 6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a lightof the Gentiles; 7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, andthem that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hathanointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bindup the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the openingof the prison to them that are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeanceof our God; to comfort all that mourn; 3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty forashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spiritof heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the plantingof the LORD, that he might be glorified. 4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations. 5 And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alienshall be your plowmen and your vinedressers. 6 But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you theMinisters of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in theirglory shall ye boast yourselves. 7 For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoicein their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double:everlasting joy shall be unto them. 8 For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and Iwill direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenantwith them. 9 And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspringamong the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they arethe seed which the LORD hath blessed. 10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God;for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered mewith the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. 11 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth thethings that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousnessand praise to spring forth before all the nations.

Isaiah 63:1 Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah?this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of hisstrength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save. 2 Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him thattreadeth in the winefat? 3 I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none withme: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; andtheir blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all myraiment. 4 For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemedis come. 5 And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there wasnone to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and myfury, it upheld me. 6 And I will tread down the people in mine anger, and make them drunk inmy fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth. 7 I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD, and the praises of theLORD, according to all that the LORD hath bestowed on us, and the greatgoodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them accordingto his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses. 8 For he said, Surely they are my people, children that will not lie: sohe was their Saviour. 9 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presencesaved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old. 10 But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turnedto be their enemy, and he fought against them.

Ezekiel 38:1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief princeof Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, 3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, thechief prince of Meshech and Tubal: 4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bringthee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothedwith all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: 5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: 6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. 7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company thatare assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them. 8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shaltcome into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gatheredout of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been alwayswaste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwellsafely all of them. 9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud tocover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee. 10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the sametime shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought: 11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; Iwill go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwellingwithout walls, and having neither bars nor gates, 12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolateplaces that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered outof the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midstof the land. 13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lionsthereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gatheredthy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take awaycattle and goods, to take a great spoil? 14 Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the LordGOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou notknow it? 15 And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, andmany people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army: 16 And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to coverthe land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee againstmy land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee,O Gog, before their eyes. 17 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old timeby my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days manyyears that I would bring thee against them? 18 And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come againstthe land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in myface. 19 For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surelyin that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; 20 So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beastsof the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and allthe men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground. 21 And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man's sword shall be against his brother. 22 And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I willrain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are withhim, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. 23 Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be knownin the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.
Ezekiel 39:1 Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say,Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief princeof Meshech and Tubal: 2 And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and willcause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon themountains of Israel: 3 And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrowsto fall out of thy right hand. 4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birdsof every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. 5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the LordGOD. 6 And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelesslyin the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD. 7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; andI will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shallknow that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel. 8 Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the daywhereof I have spoken. 9 And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shallset on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, thebows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shallburn them with fire seven years: 10 So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down anyout of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and theyshall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saiththe Lord GOD. 11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a placethere of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of thesea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall theybury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog. 12 And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that theymay cleanse the land. 13 Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to thema renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD. 14 And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing throughthe land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face ofthe earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search. 15 And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man'sbone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried itin the valley of Hamongog. 16 And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall they cleansethe land. 17 And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every featheredfowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gatheryourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, evena great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, anddrink blood. 18 Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princesof the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of themfatlings of Bashan. 19 And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken,of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you. 20 Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mightymen, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD. 21 And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shallsee my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid uponthem. 22 So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from thatday and forward. 23 And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivityfor their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid Imy face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fellthey all by the sword. 24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressionshave I done unto them, and hid my face from them. 25 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivityof Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealousfor my holy name; 26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses wherebythey have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, andnone made them afraid. 27 When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them outof their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of manynations; 28 Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused themto be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them untotheir own land, and have left none of them any more there. 29 Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured outmy spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.

Joel 2:1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain:let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; 2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness,as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; therehath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even tothe years of many generations. 3 A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the landis as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness;yea, and nothing shall escape them. 4 The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen,so shall they run. 5 Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, likethe noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong peopleset in battle array. 6 Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gatherblackness. 7 They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men ofwar; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not breaktheir ranks: 8 Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path:and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded. 9 They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, theyshall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows likea thief. 10 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sunand the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining: 11 And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is verygreat: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORDis great and very terrible; and who can abide it? 12 Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all yourheart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: 13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD yourGod: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. 14 Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behindhim; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God? 15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly: 16 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gatherthe children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forthof his chamber, and the bride out of her closet. 17 Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch andthe altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thineheritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: whereforeshould they say among the people, Where is their God? 18 Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people. 19 Yea, the LORD will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will sendyou corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and Iwill no more make you a reproach among the heathen: 20 But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drivehim into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea,and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up,and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things. 21 Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things. 22 Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wildernessdo spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine doyield their strength. 23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God:for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to comedown for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the firstmonth. 24 And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow withwine and oil. 25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent amongyou. 26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name ofthe LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shallnever be ashamed. 27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am theLORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed. 28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit uponall flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old menshall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: 29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days willI pour out my spirit. 30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. 31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, beforethe great and terrible day of the LORD come. 32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of theLORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance,as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

Matthew 24:1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciplescame to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say untoyou, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall notbe thrown down. 3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the signof thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceivemany. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled:for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: andthere shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: andye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shallhate one another. 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world fora witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. 15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken ofby Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let himunderstand:) 16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: 17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing outof his house: 18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. 19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck inthose days! 20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbathday: 21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginningof the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved:but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. 23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believeit not. 24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shewgreat signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shalldeceive the very elect. 25 Behold, I have told you before. 26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; gonot forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. 27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto thewest; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. 29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and thenshall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of mancoming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and theyshall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heavento the other. 32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, andputteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: 33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. 34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all thesethings be fulfilled. 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. 36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. 37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of manbe. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into theark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall alsothe coming of the Son of man be. 40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the otherleft. 41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, andthe other left. 42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watchthe thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have sufferedhis house to be broken up. 44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Sonof man cometh.
