Exodous 14:10 And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel liftedup their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they weresore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD. 11 And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hastthou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thuswith us, to carry us forth out of Egypt? 12 Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone,that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to servethe Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness. 13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see thesalvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptianswhom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. 14 The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
Exodous 15:22 So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went outinto the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness,and found no water. 23 And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah,for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah. 24 And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink? 25 And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which whenhe had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made forthem a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them, 26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thyGod, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear tohis commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseasesupon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD thathealeth thee.
Exodous 16:1 And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregationof the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is betweenElim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departingout of the land of Egypt. 2 And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured againstMoses and Aaron in the wilderness: 3 And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died bythe hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots,and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth intothis wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger. 4 Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven foryou; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, thatI may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.
Exodous 16:6 And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel, Ateven, then ye shall know that the LORD hath brought you out from the landof Egypt: 7 And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the LORD; for thathe heareth your murmurings against the LORD: and what are we, that ye murmuragainst us? 8 And Moses said, This shall be, when the LORD shall give you in the eveningflesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the LORD hearethyour murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmuringsare not against us, but against the LORD. 9 And Moses spake unto Aaron, Say unto all the congregation of the childrenof Israel, Come near before the LORD: for he hath heard your murmurings. 10 And it came to pass, as Aaron spake unto the whole congregation of thechildren of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold,the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud. 11 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 12 I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them,saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filledwith bread; and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God. 13 And it came to pass, that at even the quails came up, and covered thecamp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host. 14 And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wildernessthere lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground. 15 And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, Itis manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, Thisis the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat. 16 This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded, Gather of it every manaccording to his eating, an omer for every man, according to the numberof your persons; take ye every man for them which are in his tents.
Exodous 17:1 And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyedfrom the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandmentof the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the peopleto drink. 2 Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water thatwe may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? whereforedo ye tempt the LORD? 3 And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured againstMoses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt,to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst? 4 And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, What shall I do unto this people?they be almost ready to stone me. 5 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with theeof the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river,take in thine hand, and go. 6 Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thoushalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the peoplemay drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel. 7 And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of thechiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying,Is the LORD among us, or not?
Numbers 11:1 And when the people complained, it displeased the LORD: andthe LORD heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burntamong them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp. 2 And the people cried unto Moses; and when Moses prayed unto the LORD,the fire was quenched. 3 And he called the name of the place Taberah: because the fire of the LORDburnt among them. 4 And the mixt multitude that was among them fell a lusting: and the childrenof Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat? 5 We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers,and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick: 6 But now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at all, beside this manna,before our eyes. 7 And the manna was as coriander seed, and the colour thereof as the colourof bdellium. 8 And the people went about, and gathered it, and ground it in mills, orbeat it in a mortar, and baked it in pans, and made cakes of it: and thetaste of it was as the taste of fresh oil. 9 And when the dew fell upon the camp in the night, the manna fell uponit. 10 Then Moses heard the people weep throughout their families, every manin the door of his tent: and the anger of the LORD was kindled greatly;Moses also was displeased. 11 And Moses said unto the LORD, Wherefore hast thou afflicted thy servant?and wherefore have I not found favour in thy sight, that thou layest theburden of all this people upon me? 12 Have I conceived all this people? have I begotten them, that thou shouldestsay unto me, Carry them in thy bosom, as a nursing father beareth the suckingchild, unto the land which thou swarest unto their fathers? 13 Whence should I have flesh to give unto all this people? for they weepunto me, saying, Give us flesh, that we may eat. 14 I am not able to bear all this people alone, because it is too heavyfor me. 15 And if thou deal thus with me, kill me, I pray thee, out of hand, ifI have found favour in thy sight; and let me not see my wretchedness. 16 And the LORD said unto Moses, Gather unto me seventy men of the eldersof Israel, whom thou knowest to be the elders of the people, and officersover them; and bring them unto the tabernacle of the congregation, thatthey may stand there with thee. 17 And I will come down and talk with thee there: and I will take of thespirit which is upon thee, and will put it upon them; and they shall bearthe burden of the people with thee, that thou bear it not thyself alone. 18 And say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow,and ye shall eat flesh: for ye have wept in the ears of the LORD, saying,Who shall give us flesh to eat? for it was well with us in Egypt: thereforethe LORD will give you flesh, and ye shall eat. 19 Ye shall not eat one day, nor two days, nor five days, neither ten days,nor twenty days; 20 But even a whole month, until it come out at your nostrils, and it beloathsome unto you: because that ye have despised the LORD which is amongyou, and have wept before him, saying, Why came we forth out of Egypt? 21 And Moses said, The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousandfootmen; and thou hast said, I will give them flesh, that they may eat awhole month. 22 Shall the flocks and the herds be slain for them, to suffice them? orshall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to sufficethem? 23 And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD'S hand waxed short? thou shaltsee now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not. 24 And Moses went out, and told the people the words of the LORD, and gatheredthe seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them round about thetabernacle. 25 And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of thespirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it cameto pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and didnot cease. 26 But there remained two of the men in the camp, the name of the one wasEldad, and the name of the other Medad: and the spirit rested upon them;and they were of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle:and they prophesied in the camp. 27 And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medaddo prophesy in the camp. 28 And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men,answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them. 29 And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that allthe LORD'S people were prophets, and that the LORD would put his spiritupon them! 30 And Moses gat him into the camp, he and the elders of Israel. 31 And there went forth a wind from the LORD, and brought quails from thesea, and let them fall by the camp, as it were a day's journey on this side,and as it were a day's journey on the other side, round about the camp,and as it were two cubits high upon the face of the earth. 32 And the people stood up all that day, and all that night, and all thenext day, and they gathered the quails: he that gathered least gatheredten homers: and they spread them all abroad for themselves round about thecamp. 33 And while the flesh was yet between their teeth, ere it was chewed, thewrath of the LORD was kindled against the people, and the LORD smote thepeople with a very great plague. 34 And he called the name of that place Kibrothhattaavah: because therethey buried the people that lusted. 35 And the people journeyed from Kibrothhattaavah unto Hazeroth; and abodeat Hazeroth.
Numbers 21:4 And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea,to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouragedbecause of the way. 5 And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have yebrought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread,neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread. 6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people;and much people of Israel died. 7 Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we havespoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he takeaway the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. 8 And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upona pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when helooketh upon it, shall live. 9 And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it cameto pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpentof brass, he lived.
1 Corinthians 10:6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent weshould not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. 7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The peoplesat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. 8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fellin one day three and twenty thousand. 9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyedof serpents. 10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyedof the destroyer. 11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are writtenfor our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
Philippians 2:2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the samelove, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mindlet each esteem other better than themselves. 4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the thingsof others. 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal withGod: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant,and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedientunto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name whichis above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven,and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to theglory of God the Father. 12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presenceonly, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation withfear and trembling. 13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his goodpleasure. 14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings: 15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke,in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lightsin the world;
Jude 1:16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts;and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admirationbecause of advantage. 17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostlesof our Lord Jesus Christ; 18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, whoshould walk after their own ungodly lusts.
